Coming Soon Poster – Concept & Description

The Coming Soon poster serves as the introductory piece for The Fort Mifflin Collection campaign. Unlike the trilogy posters that follow, which reveal the story of the 1777 Siege of Fort Mifflin, this design is intended solely to create anticipation and curiosity before the Collection is officially unveiled.

The poster features a black-and-white photograph from the Collection titled The Commandant's Threshold. The choice of a monochrome image emphasizes age, mystery, and the passage of time, inviting viewers to imagine the stories that have unfolded beyond its walls. Rather than depicting battle or a specific historical event, the image symbolizes the hidden history preserved throughout the Fort.

Concept

The tagline, "Every wall remembers.", reinforces the central theme of the Collection: that Fort Mifflin itself is a witness to history. Every surviving wall, doorway, and structure bears silent testimony to the sacrifices, hardships, and resilience of those who defended the Fort during the 1777 siege.

The line also reflects the mission of The Fort Mifflin Collection—to preserve and share those memories through photography and historical storytelling.

The Tagline

The consistent subtitle, "A Photographic Journey Through the History of the Siege of Fort Mifflin," intentionally appears on this poster and throughout the trilogy to establish a unified visual identity across the campaign. This continuity allows viewers to immediately recognize each design as part of the same exhibition while reinforcing the Collection's educational purpose.

A Unified Identity

Overall, the poster is designed to function as a teaser rather than an informational advertisement. Its purpose is to spark curiosity, establish the tone of the exhibition, and encourage viewers to anticipate the stories that will soon be revealed through The Fort Mifflin Collection.
