The Voice of The Army

The fife and drum corps were not reserved only for the battlefield. While stationed at Fort Mifflin, the musicians were the ones to give you your orders. Based on the song being played, your orders were to wake up, assemble the troops, report to the mess hall, bring daily duties to a close, and lights out. The most important musical order was to prepare for battle. The fife and drums corps became The Voice of The Army.
